I wrote a reasonably powerful and reasonably simply to use wrapper for accessing MapPoint Web Services.  There are two majors versions of it floating around. 

1. You can find the first on CodePlex and it's part of the examples that I developed to show how to use Windows Forms with IronPython.  You can find it here.
2. The second builds on, cleans up and expands the API a bit so that it is useful in a larger set of scenarios.  I developed it in conjunction with Dr. Richard Born of Northern Illinois University department of Operations Management and Information Systems.  He was nice enough to give me great feedback on it and he develop a couple of nice PowerPoint presentations on how to use it.  He happens to use it in his Geographic Information System (GIS) course.  In any case you can find the code, examples and documentation here.

I recommend using the second one.  It's the most mature, documented and usable in a wider range of scenarios (desktop, mobile and web applications).
